At 2:17 PM, An American Airlines Jet crossed paths with a bird, according to TMZ.
The jet was en route to Cleveland, OH when something hit the windshield causing it to crack and web.
The jet had to have an emergency landing in Chicago.
The passengers were unaware of the goings-on until the captain went over the intercom when he shared that something hit the window. the captain asserted that the jet was still fully operational.
The plane was landed safely and no one sustained injury.

The jet was greeted by fire trucks and other emergency vehicles. It taxied to the gate and the relieved passengers disembarked.
