Weeks after country music star Blake Shelton proposed to his singer girlfriend Gwen Stefani, sources are saying that they plan to get married “early next year” in a chapel that he built himself on his ranch in Oklahoma.

“Blake built a chapel on the grounds of his Oklahoma ranch. He did it himself with help,” a source told US Weekly, adding that Stefani gave her “input” on the construction.

“It’s really a tribute to their love,” the insider continued. “They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year.”

Shelton and Stefani met back in 2015 when they were both coaches for “The Voice.” At the time, Shelton had just split up from his wife Miranda Lambert, while Stefani was in the process of divorcing Gavin Rossdale, the father of her three children. Last year, it was reported that Stefani had started “the formal process” of having her previous marriage annulled by the Catholic church. While a source said earlier this year that she was “committed to getting the annulment, no matter how long it took,” it’s since been revealed that she no longer wants to wait to marry Shelton.

Now that she is preparing to marry Shelton, a source close to Stefani said that she is still hoping to do so in a way that is recognized by the church.

“The Vatican has also indicated, informally, that Gwen’s petition to have her marriage to Gavin annulled will also be granted,” the insider explained. “It hasn’t been formally made yet, but all indications are [that] Gwen will have her Catholic wedding to Blake.”

As Shelton and Stefani plan their future together, they are taking every little detail into account, even a prenuptial agreement.

“They have been in prenup talks for a few months,” an insider said last month. “The process has been extremely effortless.”

Before proposing to Stefani, Shelton made sure to get permission from her sons Kingston, 14, Zuma, 12, and Apollo, 6.

“Blake told her boys that he wanted to propose and asked their permission,” the source told People Magazine. “Her family very much approves of him. He’s an amazing partner and a great extra dad to the boys. Gwen is ecstatic. The proposal was a surprise.”
