Jeffrey Toobin, the CNN legal analyst who took his dick out on a Zoom call with colleagues, was fired from his position at the New Yorker on Wednesday.
“[O]ur investigation regarding Jeffrey Toobin is complete, and as a result, he is no longer affiliated with our company,” Stan Duncan, chief people officer for Condé Nast, the magazine’s parent company, wrote in a memo to staffers, according to the Daily Beast.
Duncan explained that the decision was driven by the company’s desire to foster “an environment where everyone feels respected and upholds our standards of conduct.”
Toobin confirmed his termination on Twitter:
I was fired today by @NewYorker after 27 years as a Staff Writer. I will always love the magazine, will miss my colleagues, and will look forward to reading their work.

The New Yorker suspended Toobin after he appeared to be caught masturbating during a break in a Zoom conference call with his colleagues at the magazine. His other employer, CNN, merely granted him “time off,” while sources suggested that Toobin would “probably” return to the network after the scandal blows over.
