‘Loudoun County Protects Rapists’: Students Walk Out Over Trans Bathroom Rape Coverup

Hundreds of Loudoun County, Va., public school students walked out after news broke that the district covered up a rape committed in a women’s bathroom by a “gender fluid” student.

Local media showed pictures of student walkouts at multiple Loudoun County high schools. The Washington Free Beacon has reported that the district superintendent knew about a rape committed at Stone Bridge High School even as he said the district had no “record of assaults occurring in our restrooms.” Students at the Tuesday walkout at Broad Run High School chanted, “Loudoun County protects rapists.”

The rape was committed on May 28 by a 14-year-old boy who wore a skirt and said he was “gender fluid” to gain access to the girls’ bathroom. The male suspect was found guilty this month on sexual assault charges.

The perpetrator was already arrested in July but released and transferred to Broad Run, where this month he assaulted another student.

Superintendent Scott Ziegler sent an email about the incident on the same day it occurred. The Loudoun County School Board in August approved a series of rule changes to allow students to use restrooms based on gender identity rather than biological sex.

Mainstream media were silent on the district’s coverup. A local ABC 7 report on the walkouts did not mention how the male student gained access to the girls’ restroom.
