Rude ABC Host Asks Pence A Loaded Question — Pence Responds With Total Class

streetwisepol April 7, 2020 Current Events, Politics Comments Off on Rude ABC Host Asks Pence A Loaded Question — Pence Responds With Total Class

Vice President Mike Pence is simply a class act.  He is so very measured, calm, and gracious.

This, in stark contrast to ABC Nightline host Byron Pitts.

Some people can say all the things and still be endearing to many (see President Donald Trump).  Some cannot (see Pitts).

From The Blaze:

ABC “Nightline” co-host Byron Pitts asked Pence the blunt question during last Wednesday’s show.

“I ask this not in a political way, but… When you talk to God in your moments alone, do you find yourself worrying at all that people you represent and care deeply about have died and will die who did not need to because of steps the federal government did not take soon enough?” Pitts asked.

The vice president, however, chose not to answer the offensive question, and instead discussed American unity.

Pence said:

Well, thank you for mentioning that we are talking about one American at a time and I promise you, that’s the way President Trump thinks of this, it’s the way I think of it. We wanted the American people to see the numbers so that we understand the challenging days that lie ahead, but I want people to know that our future is in your hands, that if every one of us will do and put into practice the Guidelines for America that we can bring those numbers down. I — I really do believe we’ll get through this and we’ll come out stronger than ever before.

First, God Bless Vice President Pence for responding with dignity and class.

Shame on Pitts for asking such an embarrassing question.  The question was 100% political and totally loaded and Pitts knows it.  That is why he prefaced the question the way he did.  The liberal establishment media has no shame in making everything political.  It is sad that even in the midst of a national crisis, there is no sense in the media of uniting together as a country, behind our president, for the good of everyone.

This is a VIRUS that has struck worldwide!  To lay the deaths at the feet of Pence and Trump is asinine.  The Trump administration began acting in early January.  Has everything been done perfectly?  Of course not.  Since this is a novel virus, we are lacking information and data and learning as we go through this.  From what I can see, the Trump administration has been working tirelessly and around the clock to slow the spread and SAVE LIVES.

Clearly Pence and Trump are under a tremendous amount of stress and worry regarding the virus and the economy.  However, I trust that they are doing everything humanly possible to save lives and do right by the American people.  There should be no guilt or worry from Pence or Trump for lack of effort or care for the American people.
