Well, well, well—Jen Psaki’s back in the headlines, and surprise surprise, it’s not because she said something smart. The former White House spin artist turned MSNBC talking puppet decided to take a swipe at Vice President JD Vance’s marriage, because apparently the left’s new strategy is to go full middle-school mean girl whenever they run out of actual ideas. Which, let’s be honest, is pretty much always.
Psaki appeared on the “I’ve Had It” podcast—yes, that’s the real name, and no, it’s not satire, though it might as well be. During her sit-down with two hosts who make Joy Behar look like a stateswoman, Psaki decided to toss out a little deep-state fan fiction about Vance being a “Manchurian candidate.” Because nothing says “serious political commentary” like recycled Cold War movie references.
But she didn’t stop there. Oh no. Psaki then went full toxic feminism by implying that Usha Vance, the Second Lady of the United States, needs to be “saved” from her own husband. “Blink four times,” Psaki joked, as if Usha were some kind of hostage in a political thriller rather than a brilliant, accomplished woman who somehow managed to marry a guy who makes the left break out in hives just by existing.
This wasn’t just a cheap shot—it was a coordinated dive into the left’s favorite pool: character assassination disguised as girl-power concern. Because nothing says “empowerment” like reducing a woman to a damsel in distress just because you don’t like her husband’s politics.
Now, here’s where things get interesting. JD Vance didn’t take the bait. He could have gone scorched-earth. He could have dragged Psaki’s resume through the mud (not that there’s much there besides spinning for Joe Biden’s incoherent press conferences). Instead, with a chuckle and a smirk, he delivered a response that was both classy and devastating.
🚨 REPORTER: Former WH press secretary Jen Psaki said your wife needs to be "saved" from you.
JD VANCE: 😂
REPORTER: How do you feel about that?
VANCE: It's disgraceful – but of course, the second lady can speak for herself. I am very lucky to have a wonderful wife. I at least… pic.twitter.com/msZMUZBVV9

“It’s disgraceful,” Vance said, “but of course, the Second Lady can speak for herself.” Translation: Usha’s not some fragile porcelain doll Psaki gets to rescue. She’s her own person, with her own mind, and spoiler alert—she chose JD Vance. Not CNN. Not MSNBC. And definitely not Jen “Circle Back” Psaki.
Vance then added, “I’m very lucky to have a wonderful wife… I at least hope my wife feels the same about me.” A little humor, a little humility, and a whole lot of class. And just like that, he popped Psaki’s balloon with a thumbtack made of charm and common sense.
This is what the left can’t stand. They want Vance to be some cartoon villain, a backwoods boogeyman they can wag their fingers at. But every time he opens his mouth, he ruins their narrative by sounding like a normal, grounded, emotionally intelligent adult. In other words, everything their bench of candidates is not.
And let’s not ignore the bigger game here. Psaki’s not just throwing shade for fun—this is about 2028. She sees the writing on the wall. Trump’s back in office. The Biden experiment blew up on the launchpad. And JD Vance? He’s the future of the America First movement. So now they’re trotting out personal attacks to try and kneecap him before the campaign even starts. It’s political pre-crime, and Psaki just volunteered to be the face of it.
But if this is the best the left’s got—bad podcast jokes and desperate jabs at a political marriage that actually works—then they’re in worse shape than we thought. Because while Psaki’s out here asking Usha Vance to blink for help, most Americans are just blinking at their screens, wondering how someone this petty ever got near a White House podium.
Keep it up, Jen. Every time you open your mouth, JD Vance looks a little more presidential.
