The Metropolitan Police Department only arrested 25 people who were caught committing curfew violations, riot-related burglary, or other riot-related events, according to the Daily Caller.

Metropolitan Police Department Chief Peter Newsham said in a press conference, “Particularly on Saturday I was very impressed with the way that the Metropolitan Police Department was able to prevent more conflicts than we did have, that was actually quite remarkable.”

“Not sure another agency in the country could have handled that.”

“Men and women of the Metropolitan Police Department went out there, put themselves in harm’s way to ensure that our city was safe, I couldn’t be more proud of them,” Newsham said.
