Yesterday, we reported that the reality television star Bethenny Frankel had slammed Meghan Markle in the lead-up to her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey. Now, Frankel is backtracking, and she has tweeted an apology to the royal.
“I watched M & H sit down,” Frankel tweeted on Sunday night. “Emotional distress & racism must feel suffocating & powerless. I’m a polarizing, unfiltered(often to a fault)flawed person w a voice. When I heard of the interview, during a pandemic, it felt like a surprising choice. I’m sorry if it hurt or offended you.”

This came hours after Frankel attacked Meghan for playing the victim and airing the royal family’s dirty laundry with this interview.
“Cry me a river…the plight of being a game show host, fairly unknown actress, to suffering in a palace, w tiaras & 7 figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to being a household name w @Oprah on speed dial, fetching 7 m for interviews, hundreds of millions in media deals,” Frankel wrote alongside a collage of headlines about Meghan.

Frankel was referring to the fact that Meghan previously appeared on “Deal Or No Deal” and “Suits” before marrying Harry. She also referenced the reported $7 million that CBS paid out to broadcast tonight’s tell-all interview.
Frankel later returned to Twitter to give her thoughts on Harry.
“I 100 give Harry a break. This isn’t the way to generate less press & cannot be filed under the guise of wanting privacy to prevent a repeat of previous events,” she wrote. “If you hate me for saying it here don’t listen to my podcast #justbwithbethenny it’s littered with my opinion.”

Frankel concluded by saying that while she also lives under public scrutiny, she chose this life for herself.
“I chose reality tv, to work towards making $, to be scrutinized & criticized. I took the trappings & the beatings along with it. It’s a rose w petals & thorns. People beg to enter the often toxic institution I signed up for. That WAS the life I chose. You can’t play stupid & smart,” she wrote.

Meghan held nothing back in her interview with Oprah, discussing the racism she allegedly faced during her time as a royal. She claimed that she felt so isolated in the royal family that she even became suicidal at one point during her pregnancy with her son Archie.
