We have learned the legendary actress Betty White suffered a stroke on Christmas day, December 25, 2021.

She died six days later on Dec. 31st at the age of 99.

Dubbed America’s “favorite senior citizen,” White was best known for her roles on “Golden Girls” and “Mary Tyler Moore Show.”

She passed away at her home in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles.

We have also learned that White’s remains were cremated and given to Glenn Kaplan, who is charge of her advanced health care directive.

The document lists White’s legal name of Betty Marion Ludden. She took the last name of her husband Allen Ludden, to whom she was married from 1963 until his death in 1981.

The information from the death certificate was first reported by TMZ.

White, whose comic chops and up-for-anything charm made her a television mainstay for more than 60 years who was celebrated by several generations of fans, died less than three weeks before her 100th birthday on Jan. 17.

She had big plans to celebrate the milestone, including the upcoming “100 Years Young,” a nearly two-hour film about her with cameos from White’s famous friends including Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Clint Eastwood, Jimmy Kimmel and others.

President Joe Biden, Mel Brooks, and many other celebrities and prominent leaders paid tribute to her after her death.

On Twitter, the POTUS wrote about how White “brought a smile to the lips of generations of Americans.”

“She’s a cultural icon who will be sorely missed,” Biden continued. “Jill and I are thinking of her family and all those who loved her this New Year’s Eve.”
