Americans have long understood that the radical Left excels at one thing above all else: moral hypocrisy. Whether it’s climate alarmists jetting around the globe, defund-the-police activists hiring private security, or liberal elites preaching wokeness while living behind gated walls, the Left has made hypocrisy its hallmark. Now, a shocking lawsuit against one of the Democratic Party’s biggest mega-donors, Hansjorg Wyss, has exposed yet another glaring case of left-wing duplicity—a billionaire in the crosshairs for alleged sexual harassment and retaliation against an employee.
Wyss, the Swiss billionaire who has funneled massive sums of money into liberal causes, is facing serious allegations in a lawsuit filed by Madison Busby, a former employee at Halter Ranch Winery in Paso Robles, California, a property owned by Wyss. Busby alleges Wyss repeatedly engaged in disgusting acts of harassment, including groping her, exposing himself, and sharing explicit stories about his extramarital affairs. Disturbingly, the lawsuit goes even further, claiming Wyss proposed group sexual encounters involving Busby, her husband, and another woman.
This isn’t just another scandal involving a wealthy leftist—it highlights a broader issue: the moral bankruptcy of the liberal elite class who lecture everyday Americans on supposed “values” from their ivory towers, funded by dark money. Wyss, notorious for pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into left-wing groups, including a reported $100 million specifically earmarked to boost Democrats electorally, now finds himself accused of behavior completely at odds with the “progressive” values he bankrolls.
Busby’s lawsuit further claims that Wyss retaliated against her when she rejected his sexual advances. Not content to simply harass his employee, Wyss allegedly punished Busby financially. After she married and had a child, she and her husband were moved into a smaller home on the winery property that Wyss couldn’t share, and their rent was sharply increased. When Busby eventually resigned and raised complaints, her husband Bryce Mullins was abruptly terminated, and Mullins himself has filed a claim alleging Wyss reneged on a promise potentially worth tens of millions of dollars in equity.
Madison has suffered severe emotional distress from the harassment which took place over the course of many years, and also from lost wages and then future damages, Busby’s attorney John Ly said. She’s been harmed immensely. The complaint alleges that Wyss even admitted to Busby in 2022 that if you ever went after me for sexual harassment, you would win.
The allegations paint a picture of arrogance and entitlement from a billionaire who thinks his political donations shield him from accountability. This scandal is a stark reminder: the Left’s preachy proclamations about equality and respect only extend as far as their convenience allows. Wyss, with his deep pockets, has bankrolled Democrat politicians and left-wing causes that endlessly lecture Americans about the supposed inherent moral superiority of their positions. But like so many liberal elites before him, Wyss seems to believe that his wealth and political connections place him above the rules he demands the rest of us follow.
It’s worth noting: Halter Ranch Winery has denied these allegations, promising to “vigorously advance the facts.” And Wyss, of course, has the right to defend himself against these serious claims. But the broader point remains: when conservative figures face allegations, the Left demands swift cancellation. Will they apply the same standards to Hansjorg Wyss? Or will his political donations buy him special exemption from liberal outrage?
Conservative Americans should pay attention to this unfolding story—not simply because it exposes another leftist billionaire in scandal, but because it reveals the broader hypocrisy that defines today’s progressive elites. Wyss represents exactly what Americans rejected when they restored President Trump to office: wealthy globalists who push radical agendas while ignoring basic decency in their own lives.
As conservatives, we must demand consistency. If liberals want to lecture America about moral standards, then their biggest funders and loudest voices must be held accountable when they fail to meet those standards. Hansjorg Wyss and his fellow liberal elites cannot be permitted to hide behind their money and ideology any longer. It’s time for accountability, transparency, and justice—for everyone, regardless of political affiliation or the size of their checkbook.
