To be fair, I’m sure Cardi B can kinda-sorta read. At one point in life she realized that the government was taking a ridiculous 40% of her money, and she took to social media to ask where it was going. I assume she had to read that tidbit or deduced it from a payment statement. But, since she said “the government is taking 40% of my taxes” and “the streets is always dirty” and “ya’ll be giving n****** like two underwears”, maybe she didn’t read it at all and someone had to inform her…
Either way, Candace Owens and Cardi B had an epic online fight in September after Candace said Joe Biden was pandering to Blacks while “hiding in his basement” only to emerge for an interview with someone as uninformed about politics as Cardi B. A wild back-and-forth ensued in which Cardi B completely missed the point of what was being said and attacked Candace personally.
The whole exchange was intense, but quickly over. It looks like it might be starting up again, and I am here for it all! To be honest, it might not even be that entertaining; it’s hard to understand most of what Cardi B says while Candace talks politics for a living, so it’s hardly a fair fight. Still, I caught Candace Owens referencing Cardi B on her Instagram story on Monday, calling her Cardi Smollet and ranting about her woe-is-me attitude. I checked Cardi’s social media and I searched the internet, but I can’t find the cause. I’m not sure if the fight is just winding up or it’s already flared up and fizzled out, but I’ll keep an ear to the ground!
We all remember Jussie Smollet, who staged a race-based attack on himself by hiring two Nigerian immigrants, so I can’t help but speculate on what Cardi has done to earn the nickname.
Whatever Cardi has done to capture Candace’s attention, with her usual fire stoked by pregnancy hormones, I await the fallout with bated breath. Don’t judge me, I’ve already watched whatever streaming movies and television shows I care to see. Politics are my only entertainment now!
