Dog the Bounty Hunter’s Daughter Speaks out to Defend Her Father for Wanting to Marry New Girlfriend Months After Beth’s Death

The daughter of Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman and his late wife Beth is speaking out to defend her father after he found happiness with a new girlfriend, who he has said he wants to marry.

People Magazine reported that after Dog’s 32 year-old daughter Lyssa posted a photo of her dad and his girlfriend Francie Frane to social media on Tuesday, fans started slamming him for moving on less than a year after Beth’s passing from cancer. That’s when Dog’s 21 year-old daughter Bonnie stepped in to rush to his defense.

“Everyone who’s judging my father should sure pray that they never have to lose their loved one and get judged for trying to fill the void,” Bonnie wrote. “Your opinion is invalid. My mother would’ve wanted him to be happy. Now please shut up and let me my dad live in peace.”

After Beth passed away following a battle with lung cancer last June at the age of 51, Dog wasn’t sure if he would ever find love again. Then he met rancher Frane, who had lost her husband just before Dog lost Beth, and a “miracle” bond between them soon developed.

“It’s going really good,” Dog, 68, recently said of the relationship. “It’s a God relationship because it’s just like a miracle. It’s a miracle how we met and it’s a miracle how great we’re getting along.”

He even went so far as to say that he would like to marry Frane.

“There will never be another Mrs. Dog but it looks like there will be a final Mrs. Chapman,” he said.

It’s been clear that Frane has been helping Dog manage his grief over the past few months.

“I know that when I start to feel bad about Beth and it’s overwhelming, Francie seems to show up and that helps the kids,” Dog said. “And I feel that Beth expects her to show up to take care of me. And Bob, Francie’s late husband, expects me to be a man and a gentleman and so I am.”

“It’s a very real love that we are developing with each other,” he added. “Both of us are allowed to talk about our spouses that are in Heaven — it’s not like we’re afraid to mention it or anything like that. We console each other but we also know that we have a responsibility and that is to do this right. There are a lot of people watching us.”

Dog’s rep released a brief statement to People letting the public know that he is happy with his life right now.

“Dog is very happy,” the rep said. “He is sending much love and aloha to all of his fans, and hopes everyone is staying safe and healthy.”
