Today, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Ben Carson, released a statement on Facebook regarding his recent experience with Covid-19:
“Thank you everyone for your support and prayers as Candy and I battled COVID-19. I was extremely sick and initially took Oleander 4X with dramatic improvement. However, I have several co-morbidities and after a brief period when I only experienced minor discomfort, the symptoms accelerated and I became desperately ill. President Trump was following my condition and cleared me for the monoclonal antibody therapy that he had previously received, which I am convinced saved my life.
President Trump, the fabulous White House medical team, and the phenomenal doctors at Walter Reed have been paying very close attention to my health and I do believe I am out of the woods at this point. I am hopeful that we can stop playing politics with medicine and instead combine our efforts and goodwill for the good [of] all people. While I am blessed to have the best medical care in the world (and I am convinced it saved my life), we must prioritize getting comparable treatments and care to everyone as soon as possible.
There are a number of promising treatments that need to be tested, approved, and distributed (sooner rather than later) so that the economy can be re-opened and we can all return to a semblance of normalcy. Also, people should recognize that there are a number of defined steps that legally have to be taken before vaccines are released to the public and trying to cause alarm by saying dangerous shortcuts were taken only serves to stoke fear. Together we will be victorious. God is still in charge.”

On November 9th, news broke that Dr. Ben Carson had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. Carson reportedly went to Walter Reed Army Medical Center for treatment after he began experiencing symptoms.
Wanna know what the liberal mainstream media is reporting about this statement? As just one example, the title of The Hill’s report:
“Ben Carson says he used unproven COVID-19 treatment recommended by MyPillow CEO.”
Wow. They decided to jump on the fact that renowned Neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson had taken an herbal supplement to assist in his Covid recovery (entirely his right to try if he thought it would help) and mocked him by implying that he had specifically taken “medical advice” from Mike Lindell, the inventor of MyPillow. Lindell has indeed publicly recommended the herbal supplement, and Ben Carson urged caution regarding the supplement back in August. But apparently, upon falling ill, the highly esteemed Dr. Carson decided that it was worth it to him to try the herbal supplement in case it would provide any benefits to his condition.
As always, really stellar reporting from our super unbiased and completely impartial mainstream media, turning a positive statement of health into a public comedic roasting session in order to tarnish the incredible reputation of a very well respected neurosurgeon and cabinet member. Their reporting had the intended public consequences. The masses now mock the esteemed doctor as an imbecile and an embarrassment because he made his own decision regarding an herbal supplement.
Actual headline about actual cabinet secretary:

I have a friend from high school who was super book smart. Top 10 in our class. Became a doctor.
He didn’t know you needed to put oil in a car.
Soooo, anyway, Ben Carson, a former neurosurgeon, took medical advice from a dude who makes pillows. https://t.co/593dt2GhZb

Welp, that settles it. From now on he’s just “Mr. Ben Carson”. https://t.co/pNlNlhoTO4

“My name’s Ben Carson. I’m a Cabinet secretary but I’m also a REAL doctor, I don’t just play one on TV. I’ve got COVID and I’m gonna get MY medical advice from the MyPillow guy!” 😂

Congratulations, media, on effectively wrecking Dr. Ben Carson’s reputation over a personal healthcare decision.
