The New York Post is reporting former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Barack Obama reportedly want to take the Covid-19 vaccine live on TV.
Former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton told CNN of their intentions — while former President Barack Obama said in an interview set to air Thursday he may end up taking a COVID-19 vaccine on TV.
Bush has even reached out to White House coronavirus task force members Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Deborah Birx to volunteer to help encourage US citizens to take the vaccine, the former president’s chief of staff, Freddy Ford, told CNN.
“First, the vaccines need to be deemed safe and administered to the priority populations. Then, President Bush will get in line for his, and will gladly do so on camera,” Ford told the outlet.
Obama declared he would rather take his chances with this new vaccine than with Covid-19 itself.
“I promise you that when it’s been made for people who are less at risk, I will be taking it,” Obama said.
“I may end up taking it on TV or having it filmed, just so that people know that I trust this science, and what I don’t trust is getting COVID.”
I’m super torn about whether or not to get the vaccine. I tend to lean toward getting it once it’s available to me, but have not made up my mind.
However, I am certain I support everyone else getting it. So, if Clinton, Bush, and Obama make people feel more safe and inspire them to get the vaccine, I’m all for it.
Ivanka Trump is also promising to take the vaccine.
What about you? What are your plans for the vaccine?
I applaud these pronouncements to help assure the public that the vaccine is safe and effective.
My offer holds to do the same. https://t.co/CXswL8eaWg
