World famous Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling went on a tweetstorm this weekend that has upset the transgender movement and some in the LGBT community.
There are many hurt feelings from the “mean” tweets. But like Ben Shapiro likes to say, facts don’t care about your feelings.
Here is Rowling’s truth tirade.
I’ve spent much of the last three years reading books, blogs and scientific papers by trans people, medics and gender specialists. I know exactly what the distinction is. Never assume that because someone thinks differently, they have no knowledge. https://t.co/5kxnH3mZPf

‘People who menstruate.’ I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?
Opinion: Creating a more equal post-COVID-19 world for people who menstruate https://t.co/cVpZxG7gaA

One of my best mates just called me. Self-described butch lesbian. It was hard to tell, because she was shouting quite loudly, but I could just make out ‘FUCKING YES!’ https://t.co/yEbP8ygn1P

‘Feminazi’, ‘TERF’, ‘bitch’, ‘witch’.
Times change. Woman-hate is eternal. https://t.co/R6YlRFEvgG— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) June 6, 2020
So, Rowling is being called a TERF (transgender exclusionary radical feminist). A woman standing up for women is under attack. Transgender people rank higher in importance to liberals than women. This much is very clear.
Even though what Rowling says is factual and scientifically true, many insist on persisting in their delusion.
The fact is that biological women’s rights, including those of lesbians, have been set back by the radical transgender movement. Biological boys have invaded girls bathrooms and locker rooms. Boys have dominated in women’s sports.
There is a definite tension and conflict within the LGBTQ community. It is important that people with a platform use that platform to speak common sense and push back on the insanity. Rowling is doing just that. She is in no way suggesting that trans people be discriminated against or not be given respect like every other person.
I don’t care what J.K. Rowling says, #TransWomenareWomen. I will not be reduced to my ability (or rather inability) to menstruate or become pregnant, just as many cis women are not able to. I’m more than a walking baby incubator. All women are. I’m a trans woman and proud of it. pic.twitter.com/WSSjvSLw4J

We stand with trans youth, especially those Harry Potter fans hurt by her inaccurate and cruel tweets. Our friend @jackisnotabird says it best. https://t.co/jLkchof3rn

These people are so confused. What is the definition of a woman to these individuals? Is someone a woman just because they say they are? Or are there actual, identifiable features common to women? I have an idea. Maybe whether or not one is a male or female can be identified by their sex organs!
Life would be so much easier if we eliminated the word gender from our lexicon. People would be identified by their biological sex and would be free to live and dress in whichever way they want. Sex would be used for the the purposes of bathrooms, sports, birth certificates, etc.
Reasonable, well-thought-out opinions are under attack in America. If your opinion is not an extreme, left-wing position, you are subject to cancellation and attack on your character. See Drew Brees this week.
Bravo to J.K. Rowling for being bold enough to speak the truth and defend the rights of ALL HUMANS at the same time. It takes courage and conviction to speak your mind when you know you will be viciously attacked.
