Here’s The Picture NBC Is Accused of Editing To Make Lia Thomas Look Less Masculine

Leftists in the media are doubling down on their efforts to destroy women’s sports.

Liberal outlets, particularly NBC and USA Today, are openly supporting Lia Thomas, formerly William, who suddenly rose to the top of NCAA swimming by switching to the women’s team from the men’s team after three years of competition.

Thomas previously ranked 554 in the 200 freestyle while competing against other biological males who were comparable in terms of height, hand size, respiratory cardiovascular system size, and decades-long higher testosterone levels. Now Thomas is a national champion and ranks number one in the women’s 500 freestyle.

Covering for Thomas, NBC’s “Today” show took things a step further. Critics say the network deceptively doctored a photojournalist’s pictures of the athlete to make Thomas’s masculine features look “softened.”

Why did they do this? Here’s a look at the comparison:

Photojournalist Erica Denhoff took issue with how her photos were altered from the originals.

NBC is clearly guilty of attempting to create a false image and narrative surrounding the controversy of Thomas competing in women’s sport.

Denhoff told The Washington Examiner that she was “disappointed” when she learned that NBC had altered photos she had taken of the swimmers to soften Thomas’s appearance.

“When I first noticed the airbrushing on the segment referenced, I thought something was honestly wrong with the video,” Denhoff explained.

“But then, I watched it again and thought, ‘Wait a minute, this appears to be intentional. Lia’s features are softened,’” Denhoff said. “I then went to my original photo, on the sites that they could access to license the photo, and compared it and immediately saw a difference.”

“I pride myself on providing authentic images as a photojournalist,” Denhoff said, adding, “It’s really important as photojournalists that we transmit authentic photos that have not been altered.”

NBC is accused of failing to abide by basic journalistic principles and provide accurate portrayals of reality in the news. This is why people reguarly refer to networks like NBC and CNN as “fake news.”

“So why did NBC doctor the images? The reason is simple: Thomas didn’t look enough like a woman — because Thomas isn’t one,” the Federalist responds directly to the controversy.

Critics argue that Lia Thomas possesses an obvious unfair advantage over female competitors as a result of going through male puberty. Olympians such as Caitlyn Jenner and Michael Phelps have criticized the situation. Thomas salso till has male genital and uses the women’s locker room, according to teammates who have spoken out in frustration over the situation.

Even though Lia has undergone “testosterone suppression” for one year prior to joining the women’s team, as the NCAA policy requires, this does not reverse the impact of nearly 20 years of presumably normal male testosterone levels. The NCAA’s policy fails to address this problem.

“I’ve said from the beginning, biological boys should not be playing in women’s sports,” Jenner said. “We need to protect women’s sports.” Watch the clip below:

“It’s unfortunate that this is happening. I don’t know why she’s doing it,” Jenner said of Thomas. “She knows when she’s swimming she’s beating the competition by two laps. She was born as a biological boy. She was raised as a biological boy. Her cardiovascular system is bigger. Her respiratory system is bigger,” Jenner continued.

“Her hands are bigger. She can swim faster. That’s a known,” Jenner said. “All of this is woke world that we’re living in right now is not working. I feel sorry for the other athletes that are out there, especially at Penn or anyone she’s competing against, because in the woke world you have to say, ‘Oh my gosh, this is great.’ No it’s not.”

Jenner won the gold medal in men’s Decathlon in the 1976 Olympics while identified as Bruce Jenner. At age 72, Jenner transitioned in 2015.

In agreement with Jenner, nationally televised cardiothoracic surgeon and university professor Dr. Oz has spoken out about the issue.

Michael Phelps, who is the decorated Olympian of all time, expressed concerns about transgender swimmers competing against athletes with a different biological gender.

The female teammates of Lia have also spoken out in anger about the unfairness of the situation.

The female swimmer asked to remain anonymous for fear of liberals attacking her and destroying her life. “Pretty much everyone individually has spoken to our coaches about not liking this,” the teammate said.

“Our coach just really likes winning. He’s like most coaches. I think secretly everyone just knows it’s the wrong thing to do,” the teammate told Outkick. The teammate said public support for Thomas is “very fake.” If anyone voices dissent, they will be bombarded by the left-wing attack machine and those aggressively working to push the transgender agenda.
