HORROR: Prosecutors Say Man, 21, Allegedly Snuck Into Home of 12-Year-Old And Sexually Abused Her For A Month

This story is going to give me nightmares for months to come, y’all!

The Daily Mail is reporting that 21-year-old Zacharias Cavasos snuck into the bedroom of a 12-year-old girl he met online. He hid and lived in her bedroom for over a month and repeatedly raped her.

A Washington state man is facing federal charges after prosecutors say he secretly moved into a 12-year-old girl’s bedroom on an Indian reservation in Oregon and molested her for a month after meeting her on social media.

Zacharias Cavasos, 21, is facing a charge of sexual abuse of a minor stemming from the disturbing incident that took place over the winter on the Umatilla Indian Reservation in Oregon.

According to prosecutors, Cavasos first made contact with the victim in December 2019 online, exchanging messages with her on Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram.

In early February, Cavasos traveled from Washington to the reservation in Oregon and, UNBEKNOWNST to the girl’s family, ensconced himself inside her bedroom by hiding in a cavity under the bed after removing some slats that hold the mattress, Assistant US Attorney Jennifer Martin said, according to reporting by OregonLive.com.

The 21-year-old man also sometimes hid in the girl’s bedroom closet.

After being in the home a couple of weeks, the girl’s Grandpa saw the man in the house and asked him to leave. He left but then CAME BACK and stayed in the girl’s bedroom another whole month!

The man has been released to a “sober living facility” and ordered not to contact the girl.  He’s also subject to monitoring of his phone and computer. BFD.

The prosecution rightly argued against this move. If the charges are true, the man would be a predator in every sense of the word. He ruthlessly exploited this girl and is a danger to all children.

Martin argued to keep Cavasos in jail, telling the judge that the Washington resident has no family in the area and no job, and pointing to the fact that he returned to the girl’s bedroom even after being told to leave her alone.

His defense lawyer countered by saying that his client may have an intellectual disability and is emotionally immature. He also stressed that Cavasos has no prior criminal record or a history of violence.

I do not even understand how this man was able to sneak into the home multiple times. I’m not sure how the parents did not realize anything weird was going on. This was not like a one or two day thing. How disconnected are the adults from the child in this household?

It is my assumption that the girl did not tell an adult because she was either very scared or under this man’s manipulation.

Moral of this story: Don’t let your children on Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, or any of those type of sites until they are 35. Nothing good ever seems to come of any them.

Also, lock your doors, check under your kid’s bed, and look in the closet.
