Lori Loughlin Returns To Court To Ask For Her Passport Back

Yesterday, we reported that former “Fuller House” star Lori Loughlin was about to finish her court-ordered community service this week after completing her prison sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal. Now, Loughlin is returning to court to ask for her passport back.

Fox News reported that Loughlin’s legal team filed court documents on Wednesday asking the United States Pretrial Services Office for her passport to be returned to her. Her lawyers stated that on November 24, 2020, “the government filed a Satisfaction of Judgment confirming that Ms. Loughlin had paid her fine in full.”

“Accordingly, Ms Loughlin respectfully requests that the Court direct the United States Pretrial Services Office to return Ms. Loughlin’s United States passport to her undersigned counsel. The government assents to this request,” wrote her lawyers, Sean M. Berkowitz and William J. Trach.

Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, pled guilty last year to charges related to them allegedly paying $500,000 in bribe money to have their two daughters admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the crew team, even though neither girl had ever rowed before. Loughlin served a two month prison sentence that ends in December, while Giannulli is still in prison serving a five month sentence that is not expected to end until April.

Angela Reddock-Wright, managing attorney of the Reddock Law Group, said back in December that Loughlin’s plans after prison will most likely include “redeeming herself by showing she still has an active career with lots of supporters.”

“While she was away, it was clear that many of her fans still supported her and missed her being a part of her popular Hallmark Christmas movies,” Reddock-Wright added. “Hollywood loves a redemption and comeback story so as a beloved ‘girl next door’ actor of many years.

“I am sure her team will help her ‘turn lemons into lemonade’ and help restore her career. I would not be surprised if she already has a project in the works,” she said.

US Magazine reported that for now, Loughlin is just focused on getting her husband home, with a source saying that “they are praying to be reunited [by] Easter.”
