Today, Beto O’Rourke thought it would be a good idea to shamelessly capitalize on the national tragedy that is the senseless slaughter of 19 innocent children by hijacking a press conference about them in order to score a few seconds of free campaign advertising, point fingers at his political opponent, and plug his campaign platform. He essentially told the nation, ‘Yeah, 19 kids died and it’s sad and whatnot, but also, I’m running for Governor against this man, which is why I’m making a very public show of outrage so I can get 10 seconds of free campaign advertising since I know the cameras are all rolling right now.” It was one of the most shameless and despicable political stunts I’ve ever seen, and I thought surely it would at least be a few days before I saw another despicably shameless political stunt like this one. But it only took a few hours. Thanks, Obama.
Today, Barack Obama also thought it would be a good idea to shamelessly capitalize on the national tragedy that is the senseless slaughter of 19 innocent children by plugging his own foundation’s police-vilification agenda and reminding the public about the in-custody death of a career criminal and habitual drug abuser. As though these things are even remotely related. He essentially told the nation, “Yeah, 19 kids died and it’s sad and whatnot, but don’t forget about George Floyd and all the activists I helped to create, the movement I helped to launch, and the foundation I established to push my personal political agenda.”
As we grieve the children of Uvalde today, we should take time to recognize that two years have passed since the murder of George Floyd under the knee of a police officer. His killing stays with us all to this day, especially those who loved him.

I’m not sure who is advising these men, but I would suggest they fire them and hire someone who knows how to read a room. On second thought, they should probably keep who they have so the American public can see exactly what kind of shameless, despicable, and selfish people these politicians are.
