Ozzy And Sharon Osborne Desperate To Flee Liberal California But ‘Can’t Sell Their L.A. Home’

Culture Beat June 13, 2023 AMERICA, California, Celebrity, Life, Los Angeles, Opinion, Ozzy Osbourne, Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, The Talk, United Kingdom Comments Off on Ozzy And Sharon Osborne Desperate To Flee Liberal California But ‘Can’t Sell Their L.A. Home’

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are desperate to leave the radically liberal state of California, but unfortunately for them, they have not been able to sell their lavish home in Los Angeles.

Osbournes Want To Leave California

Daily Mail reported that the Osbournes put their house on the market in September of last year. One month before that, it was announced that they’d be starring in a 10-part docuseries “Home To Roost,” which was set to profile their move back to the United Kingdom. The show was described by the BBC as a “funny moving and honest insight” into their move from California, but it appears to have been derailed as they can’t seem to sell their home.

Sources close to the couple have blamed this on the “terrible” housing market in L.A., adding that Ozzy, 74, and Sharon, 70, are also waiting on massive renovations to be finished at their Buckinghamshire, U.K. home. Some of these renovations reportedly stem from Ozzy having to receive live-in care for his Parkinson’s.

Last November, Sharon opened up about how much she despises L.A., saying that the liberal-run city is not the “heaven” that it used to be.

“In the ’70s, if you loved music, this was the place to be. It’s not that hub anymore. It’s not exciting anymore. It hasn’t gone sideways, it’s gone down,” she explained to Consequence. “It’s not a fun place to live. It’s dangerous here. Every big city’s got crime, but I don’t feel safe here. Neither does Ozzy.”

Ozzy Expresses Second Thoughts

Ozzy, however, did not seem so sure about leaving Los Angeles.

“I’m getting a bit of flak from people,” Ozzy said at the time. “To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d stay in America. I’m American now.”

Ozzy went on to say that the decision for his family to leave America actually had more to do with the way his wife Sharon was fired from her gig co-hosting the CBS talk show “The Talk” than it did with gun violence. In March of 2021, Sharon was forced off the program after daring to defend her friend Piers Morgan from accusations that he is racist for criticizing Meghan Markle.

“When my wife got called a racist on [The Talk], she is absolutely not a racist,” Ozzy said. “Her friend is Piers Morgan… She didn’t say, ‘I agree with him.’ She just respected his ability to have freedom of speech. That’s all that she said. And she got a lot of flak from that, so we actually had to have f–king armed guards and all that.”

‘I Don’t Want To Die In America’

Earlier in 2022, however, Ozzy indicated that leaving America was something that he was indeed interested in doing because of the political situation in this country.

“Everything’s f—ing ridiculous there. I’m fed up with people getting killed every day,” Ozzy said at the time, according to People Magazine. “God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It’s f—ing crazy.”

“And I don’t want to die in America. I don’t want to be buried in f—ing Forest Lawn,” he continued, referring to the famous Los Angeles cemetery. “I’m English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we’ve got to go and live in Timbuktu, I’ll go. But, no, it’s just time for me to come home.”

Daily Mail previously reported that an estimated 500,000 people left California between April 2020 and July 2022. If the liberal politicians running California don’t change their ways soon, they can only expect more people to leave just like Ozzy and Sharon are hoping to do.
