Prince Harry Stripped Of Royal Title At Exhibition For Princess Diana

When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior royals last year, it was agreed that they would no longer use their HRH titles. That’s why it came as a shock when an exhibition celebrating the life of the late Princess Diana accidentally used Harry’s HRH title this week.

The Express reported that the Royal Collection Trust, who are running the temporary exhibition, spoke out to say that it was an “administrative error” and have since changed the label to just read “the Duke of Sussex.” The HRH title was used on a placard that was next to Diana’s iconic wedding gown.

The placard at the Kensington Palace exhibition initially read, “Lent by HRH the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex.” The title was also used on other placards that were next to some of Diana’s dresses.

The Royal Collection Trust admitted that a mistake had been made and said that the signs would be updated.

“Due to an administrative error, for which the Royal Collection Trust was responsible, the labels were incorrect and will be updated,” said a spokesman.

Royal fans were furious by the error before it was acknowledged.

“Why is he clinging on to it [title] when he hated it so much?” one person said. “Being a royal is basically a job and he made it clear he didn’t want the job, which is fine, but of course when you quit your job you will consequently lose the income and the title that come with it.”

“And about time too!” added a second, with a third saying, “Well deserved.”

Others called on Queen Elizabeth to remove “all titles” from Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, including the Duke and Duchess of Sussex title that they have been allowed to keep.

“Remove all titles and succession,” one person stated.

Over the past few months, both Harry and Meghan have given a series of tell-all interviews about the British royal family, making a series of shocking claims about them. Their allegations have ranged from them being racist to them being dismissive of mental health issues, which is why the public was so incensed by Harry’s title being used again.
