Mike Pompeo, who was likely half-trolling/half-serious in his answer to an NBC reporter, set off deranged liberals yesterday.
Hysterical Reporter: “Is the State Department currently preparing to engage with the Biden transition team? If not, at what point does a delay hamper a smooth transition or pose a risk to national security?”
Pompeo: “There will be a smooth transition to a second Trump administration. Alright, we’re ready. The world is watching what’s taking place and we’re going to count all the votes. When the process is complete, there will be electors selected. There’s a process. The Constitution lays it out pretty clearly.”
Pompeo had the biggest sh*t-eating grin on his face when he answered that question.

There is no doubt, from any serious person, that if President Trump loses his court battles that he will step down and facilitate the peaceful transition of power. Anyone who is saying otherwise is simply fearmongering and doesn’t want all the legal votes counted. It is not surprising that a dishonest person like Senator Warren is participating in this sham fear that Trump won’t leave. She knows full well that should he still lose after the legal challenges play out, he will leave the White House.
Minority leader Chuck Schumer also responded to Pompeo’s jab.
Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) said “we don’t have time for these kinds of games” after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo earlier Tuesday said there would be a “smooth” transition to a second term for President Trump, who lost last week’s election to Democrat Joe Biden.
“Look at reality,” Schumer said in response to a question from a reporter about Pompeo’s comments.
“Secretary Pompeo, Joe Biden has won. He’s won the election. Now move on. Let’s bring this country together and get things done. We have a COVID crisis raging. We don’t have time for these kinds of games.”
We all know that liberals are the most humorless, joyless people on the planet, so it’s predictable that they see no humor in Pompeo’s remarks.
