So some time yesterday, the Washington Post official Twitter account posted this.
Do y’all ‘member that time in May of 2020 when cops shot George Floyd? You don’t? Ok cool. That’s because George Floyd wasn’t shot by police.
That’s a pretty big mess-up by a newspaper as big as the WaPo, if you ask me.
Naturally, they were called out. A publication of that stature that was run by people with integrity would take down the tweet and apologize PROFUSELY for making that egregious of an error, right?
Not WaPo.
“It included language that was changed after publish?” WTF? That’s what happened? The language changed? OMG.
No, WaPo. You f*cked up royally. Using passive language as if to suggest that somehow the tweet wrote itself is lame AF. The form didn’t include language that was changed – YOU FREAKING PUBLISHED INCORRECT INFORMATION. OMG.
Just when I think today’s mainstream media outlets can’t get more shameless, they outdo themselves.
