Former President Donald Trump took to his new social media platform Truth Social on Monday to take a few jabs at his 2016 election opponent Hillary Clinton.

Trump’s new video is based on new eye-opening testimony in the trial of former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann.

Former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook testified in court on Friday that Hillary Clinton personally signed off on leaking “Russian collusion” information to the media.

Damning Video

The video ad is hard-hitting and in true Trump fashion, holds nothing back. It begins with a short clip from a 2016 presidential debate. Hillary says, “It is awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country.” Trump then famously came back with, “because you’d be in jail.”

The ad then goes on to feature several clips from various media outlets discussing Mook’s testimony. Text then appears on the screen with the words, “They tried to steal the 2016 election by spreading the Russia hoax. Trump was right. Hillary fabricated the Russia hoax.”

We then see a silhouetted picture of Hillary over which the words “lock her up,” and chants of the same can be heard. As the chants can still be heard, the video ad ends with Donald Trump declaring, “the collusion delusion is over!”

Media Begins To Circle The Wagons

Of course, as would be completely expected, the media has come to Clinton’s defense.

On Monday, the Washington Post printed an editorial proclaiming, “Again: there’s no evidence Hillary Clinton triggered the Russian probe.” The editorial attacked a Wall Street Journal column that stated in part,

“Most of the press will ignore this news, but the Russia-Trump narrative that Mrs. Clinton sanctioned did enormous harm to the country. It disgraced the FBI, humiliated the press, and sent the country on a three-year investigation to nowhere. Vladimir Putin never came close to doing as much disinformation damage.”

Ultimately, the Post surmised, Hillary Clinton was not the spark that initiated the Russia investigation, because the the collusion narrative was already up and running.

‘If We Don’t Report It, It Didn’t Happen’

Fox News reported that in searching MSNBC, ABC News, NBC News, and CBS News, no transcripts for Monday and Tuesday mornings contained any discussion of the trial. And since Mook’s testimony on Friday, none of those outlets have mentioned Mook’s or Sussmann’s names.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, radio host Jason Rantz called out the media hypocrisy, “Left-wing media outlets shout from the rooftops that disinformation matters and is a threat to democracy. Unless, of course, it makes Democrats or the press look bad.”

Journalist Glenn Greenwald added, “When major news outlets spread outright lies – not just one day, but repeatedly affirming them – they just stay silent and pretend it never happened when the proof emerges they lied.”
