Breaking: Federal Judge Blocks Biden’s Executive Order, Blows Up His Vax Mandate Agenda

Joe Biden continues to lose nearly every political and judicial battle he faces.

A federal judge has ruled that Biden cannot compel federal personnel to take the coronavirus vaccine.

This ruling comes just eight days after the Supreme Court blocked the vaccine mandate on private businesses with more than 100 employees.

U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown handed down the ruling.

The case was deciding whether Biden “can, with the stroke of a pen and without the input of Congress, require millions of federal employees to undergo a medical procedure as a condition of their employment.”

The judge added, “That, under the current state of the law as just recently expressed by the Supreme Court, is a bridge too far.”

More from RedState:

The lawsuit challenging the federal vax mandate was brought by a group called Feds for Medical Freedom.

The judge stressed that his ruling was predicated on President Biden’s lack of authority to issue the mandate and not “about whether folks should get vaccinated,” indicating that “the court believes they should.”

The vast majority of federal employees are already in compliance with the mandate, according to the White House. About 92.5 percent of federal workers have taken at least one injection.

The original federal employee mandate took effect in November as part of a series of measures the Biden administration imposed ostensibly to stop the spread of the coronavirus. From the moment the president announced he would be enacting these rules, he received pushback, largely from the right. Forbes noted that “[t]he controversial mandates have faced heavy pushback in court—even as they remain largely popular with the American public—and judges have now ruled at some point against all four orders.”

When the Supreme Court stayed Biden’s mandate on businesses, it allowed the requirement for healthcare workers to stand. The Department of Justice declared it would appeal Judge Brown’s ruling.
