Simply by enabling speech that would’ve been suppressed in the past, Elon Musk has undoubtedly made Twitter considerably more entertaining.
Additionally, he hasn’t shied away from taking on the establishment and, through the Twitter Files, disclosing how Twitter 1.0 and the government worked to censor speech and promote certain narratives. Democrats and other leftists who don’t want to disturb the apple cart of their dominance have attacked him viciously for that reason.
In addition, Musk has a terrific sense of humor, which he displayed once more this week when he challenged Joe Biden over a remark that Biden had posted on his Twitter account.
This rant against wealthy people was tweeted by the Biden account.
“It’s high time the super-wealthy begin contributing their fair share,” the account declared. Biden frequently uses this argument to support tax increases so he can increase spending, but it obviously has flaws, as the Tax Foundation demonstrates.
According to a graph, the richest 1% pay around 40% of all taxes.
Regardless of the fact that they receive 20% of the revenue, this is the case. Therefore, they are contributing double their “fair share.” 97% of taxpayers pay their fair share, which is paid by half of them. Less than 3% of taxes are paid by the poorest 50% of taxpayers. Therefore, Biden’s assertion is totally at odds with reality.
Elon Musk, who made his own money, is quite wealthy and has paid a lot of taxes, responded to Biden in a humorous and precisely correct manner.
“Give him his password so that he can tweet on his own, please. I am begging you, kindly.” Elon laughed.
We all understand that Biden doesn’t have control over his Twitter account, particularly if messages are being sent out after his bedtime. All the errors and confusion that we all witness in real life each day would also be there on Twitter if he had access to his account. He would chat foolishly about topics like men’s biceps or other oddities. Therefore, it will never happen. However, it’s entertaining that Musk is prepared to criticize their handling of Biden.
Then, when it came to the tax issue, he also exposed Biden/the people controlling Biden’s account with a quick fact check.
“In all seriousness, I concur that we should outlaw complex tax evasion techniques, but because doing so will anger many contributors, we will continue to hear words but not deeds.”
“Low- to middle-income wage earners will really be compelled to bear the price of excessive government expenditure since they are unable to avoid payroll taxes.”
