Florida Blocks Chinese Nationals from Buying Property

Well, Florida just did something completely outrageous. They passed a law that—brace yourself—puts the interests of American citizens ahead of the Chinese Communist Party. Shocking, I know.

This week, a federal appeals court gave the green light to Governor Ron DeSantis’ 2023 law that blocks Chinese nationals—who aren’t U.S. citizens or green card holders—from buying property in Florida. You’d think DeSantis had personally set fire to the Constitution based on the hysterics coming from the ACLU and their friends in the media. But sorry, folks—this isn’t 1930s internment camps. It’s just common sense national security.

Let’s be honest: it’s not exactly a secret that the Chinese Communist Party has been buying up American farmland, tech companies, and, yes, real estate like it’s having a fire sale. Maybe it’s just nostalgia—after all, they already own a large chunk of our debt. But Florida said, “Not here, Chairman Xi,” and passed a law that says if you’re a Chinese citizen living in China—not in the U.S., not a citizen, not a green card holder—you can’t buy up pieces of Florida like it’s Monopoly night at the embassy.

Cue the lawsuits. The ACLU, ever eager to fight for the rights of anyone *except* American citizens, rushed to the courtroom with four Chinese nationals and a real estate brokerage in tow, crying racism and injustice. Their argument? This law violates the 14th Amendment and the Fair Housing Act because it discriminates based on national origin.

But the 11th Circuit Court wasn’t buying it. They ruled that the law doesn’t violate federal anti-discrimination laws and—here’s the kicker—the plaintiffs didn’t even have standing because the law only applies to people still domiciled in China. In other words, it doesn’t affect you if you actually live here legally. Minor detail, right?

Naturally, the ACLU is still clutching its pearls. “All people, regardless of where they come from, should be free to buy homes and build lives in Florida,” said one of their attorneys. Sure, let’s just open the floodgates to every adversarial regime on the planet. Maybe next we can let North Korean generals buy timeshares in Naples.

The law also covers other “countries of concern,” like Russia, Iran, North Korea, and the usual rogue’s gallery. But of course, the media and the activist class only seem to care about one country in particular. Maybe because China’s got deep pockets and an even deeper reach into American institutions? Just a theory.

As for the economic impact, the real estate industry is already crying crocodile tears about luxury home prices potentially dipping a bit. Oh no, the ultra-rich might have to pay slightly less for their beachfront mansion! Meanwhile, regular Floridians who’ve been priced out of their own neighborhoods for years are supposed to feel bad because the billionaires’ club might lose a few Chinese investors. Tragic.

And let’s be clear: this law isn’t about race or xenophobia—it’s about sovereignty. It’s about whether the United States has the spine to say, “No, you don’t get to buy up our land if your government is actively undermining us on the world stage.” For decades, we’ve let foreign nationals park their cash in American real estate while Americans got priced out. Florida just decided to stop being a doormat.

So now we’ll see what other states do. Georgia, Idaho, North Carolina—places where people still think the U.S. should come first—might just follow Florida’s lead. And that’s what really terrifies the left: the idea that this law might become a trend.

The elites want you to believe this is about inclusivity. It’s not. It’s about control. They’ve sold off American land, industry, and influence to the highest bidder for decades, and they’re panicking now that someone’s finally trying to lock the gate.

So yes, Florida just did something radical. They prioritized national security over globalist real estate portfolios. And in 2025, with Trump back in the White House, don’t be surprised if this becomes federal policy. After all, America First isn’t just a slogan. It’s long overdue.
