According to a watchdog report released on Monday, Vice President Kamala Harris’ office had a turnover rate of over 90% during the previous three years. This is in line with a staff attrition rate that has accompanied her since before the Biden administration even took office.
Open the Books, a watchdog group that tracks government spending, found that since her inauguration, about 91.5% of her employees have left.
The study presented unvarnished facts about the departure figures as follows:
After winning the election in November 2020, Harris entered office in January 2021. Just four of the first 47 employees from the first year are still working for the Vice President as of March 31, 2024, continuously and uninterrupted. Moreover, the instability around turnover isn’t improving. 24 workers left in the previous 12 months, or nearly half of the total.”
Only one day had passed since the vice president declared her presidential candidacy and pledged to unite the Democratic Party.
There have been previous reports of discord within the Harris team.
The payrolls reported by Open the Books and mentioned by the Atlantic in October 2023 demonstrate the “top-to-bottom disarray.”
The magazine at the time highlighted a problem that appeared to have dogged Harris’s presidency by writing, “In her first year and a half as vice president, Harris saw the resignation of her chief of staff, communications director, national security adviser, domestic-policy adviser, and other aides.”
Within the past year, 24 Harris employees resigned from their positions between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.
According to Breitbart News, since she took office in 2021, her workers said they had seen ongoing instability, backstabbing, and discontent.
The workplace’s disorganization allegedly caused employees to feel “treated like shit” in an abusive setting.
