Elon Musk Laughs At Democrats, Says They Are Making A Mistake

As former President Donald Trump faced arrest in New York City, Elon Musk called out and mocked Democrats.

Trump was detained after surrendering to Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg to face a slew of criminal charges stemming from claimed hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels amid the 2016 election season. Many opponents have labeled the case as politically motivated, pointing out that no previous president has ever been charged with criminal charges. Prosecutors assert that the purported $130,000 hush money payment was an illegal contribution to Trump’s campaign because the funds were used to halt a negative story and thus help his campaign.

Musk replied to a social media post by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who claimed that Trump is going to “get a fair trial that follows the facts as well as the law” and urged Trump supporters to stay peaceful, cautioning that the people of the United States will lose faith in the criminal justice system if charges are perceived as political in nature and one-sided.

“To prevent losing the confidence of the American people, it is critical that our judicial system pursue Republicans and Democrats equally,” Musk said. “Whichever party prioritizes justice over nepotism deserves our trust.”

Musk, the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, also posted a meme joking that if Democrats had access to a time machine, they would go back in time and assassinate Trump before his unexpected ascent to political fame. Following his arrest, he earlier prophesied that Trump would be reelected in a “landslide victory,” particularly if he was handcuffed.

Musk, an opponent of many of Biden’s economic policies, seems to have had a political revelation during the nation’s lockdown three years ago. He has since urged other Americans to “take the red pill,” observing that leftists are “losing what he calls the middle” of the political spectrum, and purchased Twitter last year in an effort to support open discourse.

Trump was charged with 34 criminal charges of falsifying company documents, all of which are the state’s lowest-level crimes but carry up to four years in jail. Acting New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan will rule over the hush money case, having previously placed the highest punishment possible on the Trump Organization for a years-long tax fraud plan and condemned former Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg to five months in jail.
